We will be performing a major upgrade of our primary mail server (core OS from Server 2008 to Server 2012) in 2 parts. The first minor downtime event will take place on July 5th from 10:00PM - 11:00PM EST, while our disks are prepared for the upgrade, and tests are done to ensure the upgrade will complete properly. The second downtime event will occur on July 12, from 10:00PM to approximately 4:00AM (this is to allow for not only the actual OS upgrade, but any tweaks, updates, or fixes afterward). All mail and databases will be fully backed up, and if we need to roll the server completely back to Server 2008, that will happen during the early morning hours of Sunday, July 13. We will not post any additional updates until we have fully completed the upgrade OR we run into any snags during the process.
