The Open Source Alternative is a website where you can find open source, free alternatives to many of the most popular software programs. From productivity to music management, OSAlt.com gives you a better choice. While not for everyone and every application, the site does list the pros and cons of the open source product and its commercial variant. Only time will tell if Open Source versions of these products really do outshine [or "out-sell"] their commercial counterparts, but I for one think it's a great step in the continuing evolution of software.
